Ed Winslow

Ed Winslow works for Rapid Development Software, a company he started in 1996 after moving to Indianapolis from Chicago. He has worked as the senior developer on a range projects from document management and client-server database projects for business and government to factory automation and interactive voice response applications. Clients include the City of Indianapolis, The Trane Company (Rushville), Gateway Computers, Outer Circle Products, Vickers Inc. (SC), Automated Services Inc. (KY), Emersion Power Transmission (KY), Voice Data, and Pictorial Inc.

Prior to moving to Chicago where Ed worked as the IS manager for Outer Circle Products, Ed lived in Uganda East Africa where he worked as a project supervisor overseeing various building projects for the Baptist Mission of Uganda.

Ed worked for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY, working on the 165 and 3165 computers in IBM’s Large System division. Later he transferred to Essex Junction, VT where he worked as a Sensor-Based programmer developing test applications in IBM’s Memory Products division.

Prior to starting work for IBM, Ed graduated from the University of NY at Buffalo earning a BSEE degree. Later, IBM sent him to the University of Vermont where he earned a MSEE degree.

Outside of work, Ed enjoys motorcycle and kayak trips.
