After staying up until 5 a.m. getting excellent results from our LIDARs, out LIDAR team is driving up to camp now. We have been improving our "baseline" accumulation of code every day. Today is a VERY BIG day because we hope to get several LIDARs working in harmony.
We saw our first scorpion last night--right behind my foot as I was working on software at the back of IRV.
We've started a campfire in the evenings, and roast hot dogs each night and into the wee hours.
Our favorite breakfast place is "Zeke's" where they have pancakes and ham steak, both "as big as your head"!
We keep several pounds of peanut M&M's at basecamp.
Last night, they had a full house staying overnight at the camp: Brad, Mike, Vadim, Aaron, and Ed all stayed over. The rest of us made the two-hour trek trough the foothills and the desert back to the hotel.
