A typical day has started to emerge: breakfast at 7:30, travel to the base camp, leave about 8:30, dinner at 10:30, bed by 11:30. Repeat. Someone on the team always takes the “late shift,” which leaves for base at 1 pm. Transport packages, bring lunch, pick up new arrivals.
The Mojave is a desolate place. My first thought was about the explorers that crossed it the first time. Why on Earth would they keep going, and not just write it off?
We're hoping to get in some good test time today. Off to the High Desert, as it's called around here. I'll give you more precise location after we get the GPS units up and running.
